1. New Projects

We just finished building a new dam on Harloo. Currently it needs another 30 inches to reach the full level mark. See the pictures below.

Phase 1: Preparing the foundation

Phase 2: Building the wall support structure

Phase 3: Laying the bricks of the wall

Phase 4: Filling the wall with concrete

Phase 5: Completion of the dam wall

We are also building 2 new bow blinds in well located areas. See pic of stage 1. More in the following newsletter.

This picture above shows the new more natural waterhole and the hole that’s dug for the new pit blind in the back. The distance from the blind to the furthest point of the waterhole is 20 yards.

2. Maintenance

With all the rain we have had the alien plants have started growing again. Pictured below is the team that is spraying these alien plants with herbicide like Gladiator and Plenum that only kill broadleaved (Lantana) plants so that grasses will not be affected.

3. Newborn arrivals on Harloo

Nature is truly amazing! After the good rain, when the grass started growing and food is in abundance, the Impala females started to give birth. We saw our first new born impala about two weeks ago.

Beautiful rainbow picture taken on Harloo after the rain.

New born baby impala.

4. Marketing

Dear Friends - In previous newsletters we have asked a big favour and we want to ask again that you please write something about your experience with us on http://huntingreport.com/enter-hunting-report/. Marketing is a very costly expenditure and business is tough with the political problems and the weak economy. For those who have already posted we thank you. It is truly appreciated!
